Fashion Expert – Apparel Linings v1.0.1

Adds a fully-fledged system of installable apparel linings and NeuroAmp programs. Your outfits are no longer just stylish rags — now they’re stylish rags with benefits!

Required DLC
– Shattered Space

MAIN FEATURES
Introduces four-slot lining customization for most apparel in the game, allowing you to upgrade outfits with category-based bonuses.
Yes! That means you can stack up to four different properties on a single Outfit / Neuroamp
Lets you scrap apparel into materials used to craft these linings.
Apparel can now spawn with one of the lining effects from the pool assigned to material type, not just exactly same effect over and over again like in vanilla
Were added brand new effects to the vanilla pool as well. Vanilla ones were slightly enhanced and boosted!
Unique apparel has special linings that have better effects, though such linings can’t be replaced or modified.

Note
The item card shows which type each garment belongs to.

HOW TO CRAFT AND APPLY LINING MATERIAL:
Make sure that points 1 and 2 are at least partially completed.
Go to the Spacesuit & Apparel Workbench

In the opened container window put any clothing piece
After the Bzzzzingg! Take the corresponding materials and resources from the Smart-Cutter container
If you have enough resources go to the Industrial Workbench
Craft your precious lining material
Go back to the Spacesuit & Apparel Workbench and upgrade your outfit!

“Micro-Circuit Boards!??… WHAT WHERE WHO?!” Caaaalm doooown…

LINING / PROGRAM EFFECTS
Here you can learn about the effects applied to apparel items. I’ve tried to make everything as balanced as possible. So don’t expect OP percentages and etc.

I’d also like to point out several things:

Headwear (Hats and Helmets) can only have one lining slot. NeuroAmps have full package of four.
Outfit + Headwear (Hat Or Helmet) + NeuroAmp with the same effect will not stack. Only one will be used at a time.

Compatibility & Known Issues
Known Issues
Apparel already loaded in your game (items you own or that already spawned in the world / traders before installing the mod) may incorrectly display filled lining / program slots at the workbench. At first it may look that there is installed something but actually not. This is not a bug of the mod but a minor limitation of an Engine and Workbench UI.

Solutions:
Start a new game — the cleanest and recommended option
Ignore it — it doesn’t break anything. After installment of linings it will sort it out by itself
Find a fresh copy of the clothing item (e.g., after vendor refresh, cell reset or add with console)
Use built in “Apparel Resetter” function. Which can be found in the gameplay menu.

Activating this option will open an apparel resetter container. “Feed” your “old” apparel items to it, and get a new ones back – fully clean and refreshed.

Compatibility
Out of the box works only with vanilla apparel items (Yes, Shattered Space DLC is mandatory, no excuses)
Apparel added by other mods requires a patch
Mods that alter clothing records should be placed above this mod or patched for full compatibility
