Flying Jetpack

Flying Jetpack

This is a mod similar to the Flying Jetpack I made for Fallout 4. The goal is to make the jetpack fly like the one in Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

Be advised that this is still a work in progress. Any feedback or comments are welcome. Please let me know if you encounter any issues.

I am still looking for a way to increase the horizontal movement. Since we don’t have the Creation Kit yet, what I can do here is quite limited. Unfortunately, I do not know about scripting; I will be happy if someone can do that part for me. If you happen to know how to increase the horizontal speed, feel free to post a comment there or send a message to me.

*Update Optional File 1.1 Version* After discovering the Boost Pack Training perk, I tweaked the flying cost a little bit, so you won’t be able to fly unlimitedly in the late game.

Description:
*This mod does not include a jetpack; it is an overhaul for any in-game jetpacks.*

Currently, you have 3 options: 600, 450, 300.
600 will give you the most vertical lift.
300 will give you less vertical lift.
And 450 is in the middle.
*Pick only one.*

Your jetpack no longer consumes anything; you can fly as long as you want.
If you still want some limitations for the jetpack, you can use the Optional File instead.

*The settings will be saved in your save file. Make sure to read the Uninstall section.*

Installation Instruction:
Download either the main file or the optional file. (Use only one)
Place “jetpack.txt” and “jetpackreset.txt” into your base game directory (SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Starfield).
Place “StarfieldCustom.ini” into the “Documents\My Games\Starfield” directory.
If you already have a “StarfieldCustom.ini” file, simply copy the lines from my “StarfieldCustom.ini” and paste them into yours.
Start your game and use “~” to open the console command. And type bat jetpack
Press “Enter” and use “~” again to close the console command.
Enjoy!

Uninstall / Reset back to default:
Start your game and use “~” to open the console command. And type bat jetpackreset
Press “Enter” and use “~” again to close the console command.
Save your game.
Now you can delete those txt files.

Tips:
Hold the “Spacebar” to continue flying.
While you are flying, you can try releasing the “Spacebar” and then re-holding it again to adjust your altitude.
After some practice, you’ll start to learn how to hover around like a helicopter.
Watch your legs; you will break your leg when you land too hard.
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.
Fly safe
