Lodge Renovations v1.0
Walter went to throw away his lunch, only to realize, there was no trash can. Shocked at the over-site, he purchased one right away.
Going to tell his wife of this oddity, she held her nose and several employees tossed water and soap on him and began to scrub him. Confused at their reaction, he thought about it and slowly comprehended, there were no showers in the Lodge, nor was there a place to wash their clothing. His wife shoved a cred book in his hand once he was somewhat dry and told him not to come back until he had proper facilities to keep clean.
As he was getting blueprints made for some changes, he figured, if they were at full capacity, one shower wouldn’t be enough so arranged to have a shower installed upstairs, but also in the basement. The more he considered this, he thought he might as well prepare for a full house and decided to convert a store room to another full bathroom.
Pleased with his progress he was eating lunch and going over his changes. Going to wash his cup and plate, he couldn’t believe they lacked a place to clean their dishes, not even a sink. He wondered just what in the world Sebastian was thinking when he designed and built the Lodge that had no place to clean anything, not themselves, their clothing, or their dishes. If he was going to have a dishwasher installed, he felt he might as well do a little kitchen renovation while he was at it. They could use a fridge too after all. As he planned, the layout wasn’t ideal, but functional.
Since he was kicked out of his home until renovations were completed, his wife sent a computer for him to use to ensure he continued to work while away, he chuckled at the large screen, his wife’s little joke at his expense. Well, he was a little upset it wasn’t a forced vacation free from work, but he set up the computer in his room, to be productive. Realizing it was much easier to actually do some work at the Lodge rather than return to Neon for every little work-related task that he needed to complete, he felt he’d leave less often now. As his productivity increased, he even got Sarah a handheld computer to keep up with Constellation tasks, as much money as he puts into the place, he did want to ensure his funds were well managed, even if he was enjoying himself and the adventure. Speaking of funds, he even brought his piggy bank, just in case.
Soon enough, others came to him asking for a chest of drawer for clothing or other little items. A few residences didn’t have one so he agreed, even adding one to the room that Vladimir uses, the few times he comes down, since he gave Andreja what was his room. They talked about a recruit possibly joining one day so Noel suggested putting an extra bed in her room, for when Vlad visits. Not wanting to read into that request, Walter just nodded and got things moved around. He even got Vasco a place to have maintenance completed.
Sam, seeing all the changes, realized he’s been letting Cora roam around, even sleep in the basement so decided to make her a place of her own in his room, since there was plenty of space, he redecorated. A few new walls, bed, dresser and books, lots of books later, the room was all set and Cora had a place of her own.
As the final item was put in place and the dust swept away, Walter briefly thought about bringing his wife over, but just as you don’t let siblings into your blanket fort, you don’t let your spouse into your club house. Even so, he was pleased with the changes and felt it was just a little more complete. He’d leave the other store room and the rest of the basement for the others to do as they pleased. For now, he at least took some photos, and after doing laundry and got a shower, he went to thank his wife for the large screen computer and show-off the Lodge Renovations.
