Outland – Frontier Ready v1.0

A complete overhaul of Outland in New Atlantis, transforming it into a spacious, lore-friendly expedition boutique worthy of the United Colonies.

This mod is a complete overhaul of the OUTLAND store located in New Atlantis.

I have always found this location strangely illogical and somewhat claustrophobic: a tiny office space, barely any merchandise, no real showroom, no visible storage, despite being one of the capital’s premier outfitters for space exploration.

Yet Outland had everything it needed to become a truly memorable location: a fantasized Greco-Roman atmosphere, marble architecture, a vendor selling armor and expedition gear, and the underlying idea of a proud, conquering civilization in a city that directly references Atlantis, and the official supplier of Constellation.

I began to see the true potential of the place through that lens: glory of humanity, ambition, expansion, frontier spirit.

With that in mind, I present: OUTLAND – Frontier Ready

A reimagined space designed to feel worthy of New Atlantis and the explorers it equips.

FEATURES:
LAYOUT & DECORATION
– The store’s interior space has been significantly expanded and now properly reflects the exterior layout in the Commercial District.
– The entrance has been repositioned to better align with the building’s exterior structure.
– Two side corridors have been added, showcasing the spacesuits sold in-store.
– An inaccessible rear door suggests the presence of storage /backroom facilities.
– Numerous display windows and decorative elements have been added, fully respecting the original Greco-Roman inspired identity of the store.
– Civilian spacesuits and survival equipment are now properly displayed in showcases and stands.
– 100% manually rebuilt navmeshes for smooth NPC navigation(no collision issues).
– A subtle classical ambient track has been added to enhance the boutique atmosphere

NPCs
– Added an assistant for Cornelius (the store is bigger now, he needed help).
– Added 3 “random client” NPCs (Faces pulled from a pool of 20 presets: 10 male / 10 female): 1 UC Contractor + 2 Settlers Added
– Commercial District-appropriate crowd NPCs.
– Multiple NPC markers placed throughout the store to create natural movement and activity.

VENDOR
– Creation of 6 custom outfits (vanilla mash-ups), themed around Settler / Space Exploration aesthetics.
– Added missing vendor items such as flight suits and undersuits.
– Fully compatible with other mods that add merchandise to Outland (this mod uses an independent leveled list for new outfits).

LORE NOTES:
A Constellation spacesuit is displayed prominently in the store.
When visiting Outland with Sarah Morgan, it is mentioned that Outland has supplied Constellation for over a decade.
It felt logical to treat this as a strong marketing argument, showcasing Constellation gear and implying possible custom tailoring services.

Crowd NPCs may not always perfectly match the “ideal” clientele.
In my interpretation, Outland is also a place for curious dreamers and visitors, especially with a decoration style that borders on museum-like grandeur.

COMPATIBILITY & PERFORMANCE
– 100% vanilla-friendly
– No scripts
– Designed to be as compatible as possible
– Safe for existing saves
– Custom navmeshes carefully rebuilt
– No vanilla objects are deleted (some are disabled where necessary)

NOTES
– Crowd size dynamically adapts to your Crowd Density setting
– Mannequins in Bethesda games are technically immobile NPCs with modified textures.
– There may be a minor performance impact due to their presence, but performance remains stable (tested at 80+ FPS on a mid-range RX 6750 XT at 1440p, no upscaler).
