Projectiles Unbound shakes up Starfield’s weapon customization by adding a brand-new Projectile Mod Slot to the Weapon Workbench, letting you equip projectile types and modifiers directly.
In vanilla Starfield, projectile behavior is tied to a weapon’s Magazine or Battery slot. That limitation forces you to choose between magazine size and projectile effects, never both. This mod breaks that link entirely, freeing projectiles from the Magazine/Battery slot and giving you full control to pair any magazine with any projectile type you want.
Features:
– New Weapon Mod Slot: A dedicated Projectile slot has been added to most weapons.
– No More Projectile Magazines: All magazine mods that existed solely to modify projectiles have been moved to the new Projectile slot.
Compatibility:
– Shattered Space: Fully compatible through an optional file – just load it after ProjectilesUnbound_Main.esm
– Compatible with any mod that doesn’t directly modify vanilla Weapon forms. Mods that do will need a small patch. If you run into one, let me know and I’ll make a patch for it.
– Custom weapon mods work normally, but won’t use the Projectile slot without a simple patch. Tell me what custom weapons you’re using, and I’ll get them added to the patch list.
– Installing Mid Game is fine, but may result in already spawned/acquired weapons having installed mods that “don’t exist”. You may need to recraft projectile mags on these weapons for the projectile to function properly.
