Weightless Resources
Makes all Resources weightless, or optionally only makes Manufactured Resources weightless.
WARNING:
This mod is experimental and stability has not been proven. Use at your own risk.
Create a save before enabling, and know that anything can happen and you may have to go back to your old save.
Finally take less trips to and from your ship, and have more time to just enjoy the game.
This mod’s primary purpose was to eliminate the weight of Manufactured Resources because I find them absurdly heavy, especially relative to their value despite their necessity, and find myself having to make a lot of trips home or to my ship to store them.
However, because I know people would ask for it, I also made a version where all Resources are weightless.
I cannot say what this means for resource generators in outposts when using the all weightless version, since they’ll no longer be stopped by
the container weight. Be careful about that.
Installation Instructions:
ONLY INSTALL ONE OF THE TWO AVAILABLE FILES
Extract the archive into your Starfield directory (Weightless.esp and Weightless – Main.ba2 should be in your data folder)
Add the line “sTestFile1=Weightless.esp” into your StarfieldCustom.ini under [General]
Note: If you have multiple .esp mods, you can change the number after
sTestFile to anything 1-10 (sTestFile3=Weightless.esp.esp for instance).
If you are using any mods that edit string files, such as Icon Sorting Tags, Inventory Prefixes, etc., there are extra steps to take for compatibility:
1. Navigate to Starfield\Data\Strings
2. Copy the three string files (pictured) and paste them as copies
3. Rename the copies from starfield_xx to Weightless_xx
(where xx is your language, Weightless_fr for French for example)
3b. You should now have six strings files total, three starfield_xx and three Weightless_xx (pictured)
4. Go back to your Data directory and delete the file “Weightless – Main.ba2”
