Starfield: Achievements
Starfield achievements are a way to showcase your accomplishments as you explore the vast universe of Starfield. These achievements will be a valuable addition to your gamer profile. While the specific feats required to unlock these achievements have not been officially announced yet, we have some good ideas about what to anticipate.

What Are Starfield Achievements?
Starfield achievements are markers of your progress as you journey through the Settled Systems. Whether it’s discovering your first Artifact, solving the mystery of “The Eye,” or eliminating a swarm of pirates, Starfield is sure to have hidden trophies or achievements for each of these accomplishments.
In general, Starfield’s achievements will likely fall into the following categories:
- Story-based achievements: Unlocked by completing main and secondary quests.
- Companion achievements: Unlocked by reaching maximum affinity or romance status with various Starfield companions.
- Faction-specific achievements: Apart from the standard quest and companion achievements, there will likely be faction-specific achievements that require you to navigate branching story-paths. To unlock all of these, you may need to replay the game or load an older save.
- Outpost achievements: Similar to Fallout 4, Starfield’s outposts are expected to have achievements associated with settler happiness and alliances.
- Generic milestones: Unlocked by completing specific actions a certain number of times. For example, picking 50 locks, eliminating 100 pirates, reaching level 50, or discovering all Starfield collectibles.
Secret Starfield Achievements
To avoid spoilers, Starfield is likely to conceal story-related achievements. However, there may be other achievements initially hidden as ‘secret’. It will be up to the community to uncover these hidden achievements. Expect these secret achievements to require unique and unusual feats to unlock, such as visiting all 1000 planets.

Missable Achievements and Saving Progress
Some achievements in Starfield are harder to obtain and can be classified as ‘missable’. This means that certain actions can lock you out of achieving them within a specific playthrough. To avoid missing out, it is advisable to save your progress regularly. If you miss anything on your first playthrough, you can simply reload a saved game and try again. We will document these missable achievements as they are discovered, so you don’t have to worry about losing hours of progress.
Starfield DLC Achievements
When a new expansion pack or DLC for Starfield is released, it is highly likely that a set of achievements will accompany it. These DLC achievements are similar to the ones in the base game but often more rare and challenging to obtain.

Mods and Starfield Achievements
Traditionally, Bethesda has disabled achievements when mods are enabled in their games. Therefore, it is highly probable that installing and using mods in Starfield will disable the achievements. However, there is a solution. The modding community often releases achievement mods for Bethesda games, allowing you to enjoy Starfield with mods while still earning achievements.
